Softening and Protecting Hair Spray
Ingredients:
1 cup hot Chamomile tea
1 Tbsp. Epsom salt
1 tsp. Aloe Vera gel
1 tsp. Coconut butter
4-5 drops Grapefruit essential oil
1 tsp. Lemon juice
A pinch of Sea salt (or Himalayan)
Instructions:
Mix the tea, the Epson salt, the salt, and the coconut butter. Stir well to blend the ingredients. Next, wait for the mixture to cool off and add the remaining aloe Vera gel, lemon juice and the essential oil. Pour the mixture in a spray bottle. Shake well before each use. Apply on clean moist hair.
Leave-in Conditioning Spray
Ingredients:
2 Tbsps. Aloe Vera gel
1 1/2 Tbsp. Lavender flower water
8 drops Tangerine essential oil
8 drops Jasmine essential oil
8 drops Vanilla essential oil
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle and shake well. Apply on dry hair. Shake well before each use.
Leave-in Citrus Toner for Shininess
Ingredients:
2 fistfuls Dry lemon zests
Some Apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
Take a large glass jar (it could be 16 o.z. volume) and place the lemon zests in. Pour the apple cider vinegar in to fill the jar. Seal it tightly and let the mixture sit for about 1-2 weeks. Strain the infusion and store in a glass bottle in a dark and cool place. Take 1 Tbsp. of the toner and mix it with 1 cup distilled or filtered water. Rinse or spray the hair with the solution after shampooing. Do not wash off.
Leave-in Chamomile Conditioning Spray
Ingredients:
1 cup Distilled water
1 Tbsp. Chamomile
2 drops Chamomile essential oil
2 Tbsps. Coconut milk
Instructions:
Heat the water and when it starts to boil add the Chamomile blossoms. Take the mixture off the heat and put on a lid. Let the herb steep until the water cools off completely. Strain the infusion and add the essential oil and the coconut milk. Stir well and pour in a suitable spray bottle. Apply after a shower. Store the conditioner in the fridge for up to 6 weeks.
Strengthening Hair Spray Mask
Ingredients:
8 Tbsps. Warm Black tea
2 Tbsps. Rum
Instructions:
Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle. Shake well to blend them nicely. Apply on the hair and scalp evenly and leave it for about an hour. Rinse the hair with warm water.
Simple Glycerin Hair Conditioner
Ingredients:
2 1/2 tsps. Glycerin
1 1/2 tsp. Jojoba oil
1/2 tsp. Almond oil
2 1/2 tsps. Vegetable emulsifier
3/4 cup Distilled or flower water (Lavender, Rose)
1/2 tsp. Water soluble natural preservative (optional)
A few drops Essential oil of choice
Instructions:
Mix the glycerin, the jojoba oil, the almond oil, and the emulsifier in a double boiler and blend them. Next, in another pot mix the flower water with the preservative (if you are using one) and heat it. Stir well and when the temperature becomes the same as the oils, take it off the heat. Now mix the water with the oils and stir well. When the mixture becomes fully homogenous like a lotion, take it off the heat. Add the essential oils and stir again. Pour in a suitable container and the conditioner is ready! Apply after the regular shampoo.
