Hair Masks Recipes We Know You'll Love


Hair masks are amazing for so many reasons. They provide our hair with tons of health benefits and this collection of hair masks only require a few ingredients each. Most ingredients can be found in your fridge or cupboard so you don't have to go far! Some of the benefits of hair masks include adding that gorgeous shine to your hair, giving your hair a boost to grow, softening and hydrating and even help fight off infections...and those are just to name a few. The recipes we’re going to share with you are all wonderful masks to help nourish, protect, and moisturize that pretty hair of yours.

Nourishing Hair Mask 

Ingredients: 
Some Almond or extra virgin olive oil
Some Beer yeast

Instructions: 
Adjust the quantities according to the length and the volume of your hair. Mix the ingredients and put the mask on the mane. Spread it thoroughly and let it work for 10 minutes. Wash off with clean water.

Yummy Autumn Nourishing Hair Mask 

Ingredients: 
1 Egg yolk
1 Tbsp. Honey
Some Grapes
1 Apple
A small piece of Baked pumpkin

Instructions: 
Whisk the egg yolk and mix it with the honey. Extract the juice from the grapes and add it to the mix. Grate the apple and mash the pumpkin. Mix all ingredients well until they are fully blended.

Nourishing Hair Mask with Avocado 

Ingredients: 
1 Avocado
1/2 cup Yogurt
1/2 tsp. Almond oil

Instructions: 
Peel the avocado, remove the seed and mash the pulp. Add the yogurt and the almond oil. Stir well to blend the ingredients. Apply on the hair and scalp and leave it to nourish them for 20 minutes. Wash off with mild shampoo. Repeat the procedure twice a week.

Nourishing Hair Mask with Pine Honey 

Ingredients: 
5 Tbsps. Pine honey
2 Tbsps.
Jojoba oil

Instructions: 
Simply mix the ingredients and the mask is ready for application. Leave the mixture to nourish the hair for 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.

Nourishing Hair Mask for Extra Volume 

Ingredients: 
1 Tbsp. Aloe Vera juice (or gel)
2 1/2 Tbsps.
Mayonnaise
1 Soft ripe tomato

Instructions: 
Peel the tomato and remove any hard parts from it. Mash it thoroughly and add the remaining ingredients. Blend them well and the mask is ready. Apply on wet hair and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash off as usual. Repeat twice a week.

Brigitte Bardot’s Nourishing Hair Mask 

Ingredients: 
5 tablets Quinine
1 Egg yolk
1 ampoule Vitamin A

Instructions: 
Crush the quinine pills and turn them into powder. Whisk the egg yolk and add the quinine powder and the vitamin A liquid. Stir well until the mixture becomes homogenous.
Apply on the hair and scalp and leave it to work for 30 minutes. Wash off with water mixed with some lemon juice for extra shininess. If your hair is longer, add more egg yolks and Vitamin A.

Nourishing Burdock Hair Mask 1 

Ingredients: 
1/4 tsp. Rosemary oil
1/4 tsp. Basil oil
1/4 tsp. Lavender oil
1 tsp. Aloe Vera gel
1 tsp. Burdock oil

Instructions: 
Mix the ingredients well and apply on the scalp with massaging movements. Leave the mask to work for about an hour and shampoo as usual.

Important: regular use of burdock oil is not suitable for people with high blood sugar levels, an allergy from the herb, and pregnant/breastfeeding women! Consult with your physician first!

Nourishing Burdock Hair Mask 2 

Ingredients: 
1/2 tsp. Burdock oil
2 Egg yolks
3 Tbsps. Honey

Instructions: 
Place the oil in a double boiler and heat it slightly on low temperature. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well. Apply on the scalp and hair. Put on a shower cap and a towel. Leave the mask to work for about 1 – 1 1/2 hour. Wash off with lukewarm water and mild shampoo. Apply once a week.

Important: regular use of burdock oil is not suitable for people with high blood sugar levels, an allergy from the herb, and pregnant/breastfeeding women! Consult with your physician first!

Nourishing Green Tea Hair Mask 

Ingredients: 
2 Tbsps. Green tea leaves
1 Egg yolk
1 Tbsp. Mustard seed powder
 Some Warm water

Instructions: 
Mix the green tea with just a little bit of warm water. Leave it to soak for a couple of minutes. Next, whisk the egg yolk and add it to the green tea. Add the mustard powder as well and stir. If the mixture is too thick, add more water. If it is too runny, add more mustard or green tea leaves.
Apply on the scalp and put on a shower cap. Leave the mask to work for about 20 minutes and wash off as usual.
